Although it is only the middle of April, have you started to think about how you will celebrate your mom this year? Moms are truly one of the strongest people in our lives and we want to thank them for all that they do. Here are a few of our ideas but we'd also love to hear traditions that you have your mom as well! The traditional breakfast in bed: Moms love the effort put into the homemade breakfast in bed on a tray. Whether its french toast, waffles, pancakes, or something else that she loves - dress up the tray with some extra touches and maybe even a flower on the side! A gorgeous brunch: Eggs Benedict, avocado toast, hash and bottomless mimosas - nothing beats a Sunday brunch with mom! With so many restaurants now putting their own twist on breakfast there are endless possibilities to try. The beauty of brunch is that if someone doesn't like breakfast, there are also lunch options. Dinner: Does your mom have a favorite dish or a favorite style of food? Why not either make it at home or treating her out to a nice meal to show your appreciation! If you do decide to go out, be sure to make reservations early as  it is one of those hectic weekends and restaurants are sure to fill up. Making something at home? Plan out your menu ahead of time so that grocery shopping is a breeze. Flowers: Surprise your mom with a beautiful bouquet of bright flowers! Not able to be at home for Mother's Day? Don't worry! Hollywood Sign

The ultimate tourist trap, but have you really been in Southern California if you haven't been to the Hollywood Sign? To start your hike, you want to look for the Hollyridge Trail. A 45 minute hike from the bottom, the Hollywood Sign is a good trek up. Be sure to bring water and some directions, there are a lot of forks in the road.

Sturtevant Falls

Want to get away from the urban maze of Los Angeles? This relatively easy hike to Sturtevant Falls is perfect for you. The hike is just over 3 miles one way with lots of scenery along the way. Save some of your energy for the way back though, the easy downhill at the beginning is now the steep uphill back to your car!

Torrey Pines State Reserve

With 6 trails in the main reserve and 4 in the extension, Torrey Pines State Reserve has something for everyone. Choose the right level of difficulty for yourself and don't worry, each trail has something special about it! Keep a lookout for the rarest tree in North American that the state reserve is named for, the Torrey Pine. Are you ready to go and explore? We know we are! Though many of our glasses are fashion glasses, we also have a ton of  great sports glasses if that is something you're looking for!

So now you know where you're going, you have your ticket, and you have your living situations sorted out... big question now is, what do you wear?! This is a questions some of us in the office are struggling with as well. Read on to see some of our favorite pairings and our favorite sunnies for the events. The "Festival style" really applies more to events like Coachella, Stagecoach, Lollapalooza whereas "rave fashions" take the cake for events like Electric Daisy Carnival. Even though there are trends, wear whatever makes you comfortable!

Rompers are so comfortable to wear in the summer heat - not as casual as shorts but not as fussy as a dress. White lace is always a hit at Coachella and this romper from Abercrombie & Fitch is no exception. Stay cool and shady with a hat! In the desert, the sun beats down all day long and the last thing you want is to be sun burnt. Protect your skin and look super cute with super cute oversized floppy hats. While totally understandable that you would want to wear cute heeled sandals and such, keep in mind most of these are in the grass, dirt, or parking lot. There is a ton of walking and lots of people to potentially step on your feet. Wear comfortable shoes to prevent hurting toes - festivals are day long marathons. Bring a small bag! Toss a light sweater, your chapstick, extra sunscreen, and water bottle. Be sure to check the allowed size for you bag, you don't want to get turned away or have to throw it out. Each festival has their own set of guidelines regarding banned items so take a look at their rules page before you take off. Last but not least, get the sunnies that match your style!
