As fall officially begins and all of the fashion weeks wrap up, we wanted to share some of the more interesting trends for this year. Recently, the 70’s look has really rolled back in with flared jeans, round glasses, and high-waisted anything. The must have of this fall though? Car wash pleat skirts. This unique shape made their appearance in Christian Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, and Oscar de la Renta F/W 15 shows. This trend has proven that it can go both delicate and funky. The structure yet lack of structure gives an interesting point to focus on. High fashion and street wear alike has embraced this cool spin off of a pleated skirt.

Fur (faux fur of course) is also making a comeback in a huge way this fall and winter. Colored fur is especially popular this year to add that pop into any outfit. Dolce and Gabbana, Zac Posen, and Elie Saab all debuted the colorful style in their shows. The fuzzy style is also making an appearance in stoles, collars, caplets, and even just on cuffs. Some of us at EDGE took our early Friday afternoon to go walk around the 93^rd annual LA County Fair. The fair is right over a fence and through a parking lot from us so why not go and check it out? With rides, food, games, shopping, exhibits, and performances, there really is something for everyone.

On this outing, we brought some of our newest EDGE styles for fair goers to try on (a big thank you to everyone who we talked to)! People came from near and far to be at the fair, some coming from as far as Camarillo. Some mentioned they were super excited for Esmeralda’s Traveling Circus and some came to find the ever so popular deep fried Oreos. We even met a couple that purchased the unlimited rides wristbands that were searching for fun houses all throughout the fair grounds. Though most people we talked to didn't have a favorite sunglasses style, they could identify what was obviously cool for this year: the round shapes, vintage flat lenses, and vibrant patterns and colors. We brought a variety of styles for people to try on including our mirrored lenses and clubmasters along with our etched roses and printed daisies. Now that summer 2015 is drawing to a close, we are planning ahead for the chilly-er months. However, not too long ago we had our very first Instagram giveaway hosted by NYC Fashion Instablogger Ellery Lee (@elleryisalwayshere) & what better way to have kicked off the summer season than with exactly that! Our 2 week co-giveaway featured 4 of our rad sunnies (as pictured on the right from top-bottom): the Indie Rocker sunglasses (from our TREEZ line), the ever-so-popular Jetsetter shades (from our Royal Collection), some brand new, soon to be released shades from our Revault line, as well as the super cute Dotty sunglasses (from our Khloe Collection). Overall, we had over 50 submissions from viewers like YOU who stated how they would sport our sunglasses this summer and we must say that choosing the 4 winners was indeed quite a tough task. In the end, it still had to be done, and the responses that we (and Miss Ellery) chose were the following 4: THANK YOU again to ELLERY for helping us spread the word & host our very first Instagram Giveaway AND to those of you who participated!
